  1.  Descriptions of the SysOp's special menu commands.
  2.  
  3.  (UTIL) Host Utilities - This option allows the use of four SysOp utilities.
  4.  
  5.     These utilities are:
  6.  
  7.     (S)hell to DOS - This allows the SysOp to shell to dos from remote.  This
  8.     option may be used when in local mode, but the F2 key is probably a better
  9.     choice in this case.  The shell to dos may be executed without using the
  10.     "UTIL" option by just entering "S" from the main menu.

  12.     (R)ead Host Caller's Log - Allows the remote view of the host caller's log,
  13.     which is a text record of everything that takes place on the host.
  14.  
  15.     (D)OS Command Line - Allows the execution of dos commands without having
  16.     to drop to DOS.
  17.  
  18.     (EDIT) Guest List - The guest list is the file that contains the list
  19.     of users of the host.  This command allows the SysOp to directly modify
  20.     the security levels of callers, even from remote.
  21.  
  22.     The sub-options for this command are:
  23.  
  24.       (V)iew Guest List - Allows the SysOp to view the current list of callers
  25.       along with their current status (security), and their password.
  26.  
  27.       (A)dd a new guest to list - This option allows the SysOp to add a new
  28.       caller's name and password to the guest list.  The new caller always is
  29.       given full guest access to the Host (level 5).
  30.  
  31.       (C)hange a Caller's Access Level - This option will allow the SysOp to
  32.       change a caller's access level to levels (1-6).
  33.  
  34.       (D)eny a Guest Access to Host - This in effect "locks-out" a caller.  In
  35.       other words, his access level is set to 0, and when he calls and enters
  36.       his correct password he will immediately be hung-up on.
  37.  
  38.       (S)uspend Download Priviledges - This options will suspend the
  39.       downloading priviledges of a caller by setting his access level to 4.
  40.  
  41.     (T)urn off Host - Shuts down the host from remote.  When this option is
  42.     chosen, the SysOp will be prompted to decide which environment the host
  43.     should quit to (Telix or DOS).  By quitting to DOS, the SysOp may return
  44.     to a batch file that was run earlier.

  47.     The following commands are available from both the SysOp and Guest menus.
  48.  
  49.      (D)ownload - Sends a file from Executive Host to you.
  50.      
  51.      (U)pload - Sets Executive Host up to receive a file from you.
  52.  
  53.      (F)ile Directories - Displays a list of all files available for download,
  54.      with file sizes, dates, and transfer times.   If the SysOp is using text
  55.      directories, this option will display file descriptions as well.
  56.         
  57.      (V)iew - The (Z) sub-option will view any Zip file in the download
  58.      directories of Executive Host.  A guest may also view text files
  59.      that are compressed inside of the zip file.
  60.      The (T) sub-option will allow a guest to view any text file that the SysOp
  61.      has made available.  A directory of text files available for view can
  62.      be found with the (F) option from the main menu, and then the (T)
  63.      sub-option.

  65.      (T)ext Search - This option allows the caller to do a text search of the
  66.      file directories made available by the SysOp.  Searchs for specific text,
  67.      file names, portions of file names, or even dates (in the correct format)
  68.      are allowed.  Wildcards (* or ?) will be searched for literally and
  69.      should not be used.

  71.      (J)oin Conference - This option allows callers to join (or enter)
  72.      a conference area.  Conference areas may have their own level of
  73.      security (minimum access level), file areas, and message base,
  74.      depending on how the SysOp chooses to set them up.
  75.  
  76.      (Q)uit Conference - This option returns the caller to the Main
  77.      conference area (the area all callers are in when they first log on).
  78.      This command is used by callers when they are wish to return to the
  79.      Main conference after using the (J)oin command.
  80.     
  81.      (X)pert Mode - This will make Executive Host stop displaying the main,
  82.      protocol, and message menus.
  83.  
  84.      (M)essage Menu - This option displays the five message options
  85.      available for all callers. They are as follows:
  86.        (E)nter a message
  87.        (R)ead messages
  88.        (N)ote to SysOp
  89.        (J)oin Conference
  90.        (Q)uit Conference
  91.      All of the menu choices on the message menu may also be executed from
  92.      the main menu, even though some are not listed.
  93.  
  94.      (B)ulletins - Displays a menu of bulletins callers may view.
  95.  
  96.      (O)pen Door - Displays a menu of doors that may be entered.
  97.  
  98.      (I)nfo on BBS - This will display information about Executive Host or
  99.      whatever the SysOp wants to be displayed here.
  100.  
  101.      (C)olor on/off - This will turn the ansi menu colors on or off.
  102.      
  103.      (N)ote to SysOp - Allows you to leave a note to the SysOp.  The message
  104.      may be marked public or private.
  105.  
  106.      (P)age - This will page the SysOp for 20 seconds.
  107.               
  108.      (H)elp - This option will display this help file.
  109.  
  110.      (G)oodbye - This will log you off, and set Executive Host up for another
  111.      caller.
